Maypole with weighted base

Maypole dancing is the perfect way to build team work skills, co-ordination, music, dance and history all together

• Our Maypole with weighted base has been used in hundreds of schools, clubs and charities across the UK for over 70 years.
• The 274cm pole is supplied in two sections making transporting and storage so much easier.
• It is possible to transport the maypole in a car (the largest section is the base which is 95cm squared). The overall height when constructed is 366cm.
• The pole fits into a steel base and topped with a revolving circle and crown, both of which are fitted with hooks to allow for 24 dancers.
• If working with a larger group, then having people sitting out and changing in after each dance works very well.
• Reserves are also useful for handing out braids or to be extra ballast for the Maypole (Though that is not an essential requirement).
• When working with younger children it is possible to have 2 children per ribbon.
• The base includes a MDF board (colours may vary) attached to the metal base, this gives the base extra weight for increased stability and safety.

Also new is the multifunctional design of the crown. You can choose :

• A fixed ring with a revolving crown
• A fixed ring with a fixed crown or
• A revolving ring and revolving crown

The Standard Maypole is powder coated in Forest Green.

• Comes complete with 24 braids (supplied in Blue, Yellow, Red and Green).
• Extra sets of braids can be purchased separately if required.
